As-Safir daily, one of the most known Lebanese newspapers is set to go out of print after 42 years in publication.
At the end of the year, nearly 120 employees will be out of a job since not only the print version will shut down, but also the website and the archives.
A decrease in advertisement funding, Arab and foreign investments dropping dramatically and the subscription declining, all factors let to financial difficulties forced the administration to take the decision to close the paper.
