Palestinian factions agree on deployment of joint forces in Ain el-Helweh’s el-Tiri neighborhood
The Palestinian factions agreed on Wednesday on the deployment of the joint Palestinian forces into the Al-Tiri neighborhood in Lebanon's largest Palestinian refugee camp of Ain el-Helweh after six days of intense clashes with extremists.
Al-Tiri’s neighborhood is a stronghold of extremist Bilal Bader and his supporters, who have been involved in clashes with Fatah Movement in the past last week.
An intense exchange of fire erupted in Ain al-Helweh earlier in the day ahead of the force deployment.
Badr is wanted by the Lebanese authorities on various charges.
