REPORT: Closer look at the role of the Constitutional Council in extension row
In case the Lebanese parliament extended its term for the third time in a row, President Michel Aoun will be bound to publish the decision in the official gazette.
 
However, President Aoun or 10 MPs can challenge the extension within 15 days before the Constitutional Council.
 
The Council will then have 10 days to issue its decision in its regard.
