Palestinian refugees, popular committees and Palestinian factions staged Tuesday a sit-in outside the headquarters of the UNRWA, to protest against the decisions issued to close a number of schools and reduce the agency’s services in the southern city of Tyre.
The protesters delivered a petition to the agency’s director in Tyre, and raised banners denouncing the UNRWA policies and the silence of the Arab states regarding the suffering and tragedy of the refugees in the camps in Lebanon, mainly in regards with education, healthcare and services.
