Agreement reached between teachers and Education Ministry

An agreement was reached on Thursday between the teachers and the Ministry of Education, following the meeting of the ministerial committee and the coordinating body of trade unions to discuss ranks and salary scales.

The Minister of Education and Higher Education Hassan Diab said that they were seeking to reach a fair agreement which suits both parties, saving parents and students waiting time for the results of official state exams.

In turn the coordinating body called for approving the pay scale adopted by cabinet, without linking it to the taxation issue.
