Internet crisis angers users, ministry seeks solution with Cyprus, Egypt
Most of the internet users expressed their anger from the service due to internet outage. Two days ago, the internet service in Lebanon encountered an outage due to maintenance procedures. On Wednesday, the service was also interrupted, but this time due to lack of maintenance.

In this context, Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui told LBCI that the internet jam is caused by the disruption of a cable in the sea off Alexandria beach, where this cable passes by India, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Egypt and through the Mediterranean Sea it arrives to Lebanon.

Sehnaoui stressed that coordination is ongoing with Cyprus and Egypt to find an alternative solution to provide the citizens with the internet service.

Sehnaoui called on all parties to stay away from debates, noting that there are any responsibilities to be assumed currently.
