Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry denounced the Israeli airstrikes that targeted Syria, stressing that Syria has the right to legitimately defend its land and sovereignty.
The ministry issued a statement in this regard, whereby it called on the International Community and the UN Security Council to denounce these airstrikes and the Israeli jets’ use of the Lebanese airspace to launch attacks against a neighboring country in a violation of the resolution 1701.
Caretaker Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil gave his instructions to Lebanon’s permanent representative at the United Nations to file a complaint before the Security Council against the dangerous Israeli violations that has been threatening the regions’ stability.
