Energy Minister Nada al-Boustany is seeking to reach a political agreement over an electricity plan that was updated in cooperation with the World Bank, before submitting it before the cabinet.
Sources from the ministry said that al-Boustany will kick off next week a series of meetings with officials and political leaderships, armed with a report from the World Bank’s IFC, regarding whether Lebanon can directly adopt long-term solutions or start with short-term solutions that can be later used in future long-term solutions.
