For several years, the Lebanese people have been worrying about the electricity meter, counting their electricity spending, making them forget another meter just as important, "the public debt meter".
This meter registers an increase in thousands of dollars per minute in debt and service of debt.
In 2017, it registered an increase in debt by $7,465 per minute, accumulating 3.9 billion at the end of the year.
In 2018, the same meter registered an increase of $12,500 per minute, raising the total public debt by an amount of $6.6 billion.
