Clashes erupt in Cairo's Nile Tower City
Egyptian Security Forces intervened to contain violent acts in the Nile Tower City, on the Nile riverbanks, amid reports claiming deaths and injuries.
Egypt’s “Al Ahram” newspaper quoted witnesses from the town of Ramlet Bula, as saying that the violent acts took place after the Vermont Hotel administration killed the citizen Amro al-Bana who tried to meet with the director of hotel security to ask for his salary.

The newspaper also reported that unknown individuals threw burning bottles on vehicles and motorcycles parked near the towers.

For its part, “Al-Masry Al-Youm” newspaper stated that dozens of residents, including relatives of the dead, broke into the “Societe Generale” Bank, and set fire into vehicles parked near the building.

The newspaper noted that security forces were able to put off the fire, threw tear gas bombs to separate the residents and arrest offenders.
