Islamists rally in Tahrir Square in support of Morsi

Hundreds of Muslim Brotherhood supporters began flocking into Cairo’s Tahrir Square on Thursday night in preparation for Friday’s mass rally in support of President Mohamed Morsi’s decision to reshuffle the leadership of the armed forces.

The president issued a decision Sunday to retire Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, head of Egypt's military council, and Chief-of-Staff Sami Anan; and appoint reformist judge Mahmoud Mekki as Egypt's new vice-president
