Fatfat to LBCI: Establishing a Sunni military council is out of the question
Future Bloc MP Ahmad Fatfat said on Tuesday that there is an intention to keep the city of Tripoli in a state of tension in "compliance to Syrian President Bashar Assad's statements".

“Tripoli’s incidents are not surprising in light of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's latest speech”, he added.

Fatfat told Nharkom Said on LBCI Tuesday that "fireworks launched to celebrate Eid al-Fitr were met with gunshots from Jabal Mohsen, adding that the idea of establishing a military council for Sunnites is rejected by all and not even an option”.

Fatfat stressed that if the Syrian legal claims against Lebanese figures are issued, they would be “futile”, adding that the Syrian judiciary is "not independent".

“Those who will be tried will be found guilty for all explosions in Lebanon since 2005”, he said.
