Syrian activists speak; an interview with Nharkom Said

The Kurd Syrian Human Rights activist Mohammad Adel Sleiman, who was abducted by the Mokdad clan in Beshara al-Khoury region, stressed on Wednesday that "abduction is a crime against humanity". He told Nharkom Said via LBCI that “Lebanon does not need a new quake”, calling for ending “games leading the country toward strife”.                    

For his part, the Syrian opposition activist Khalil Hassan told LBCI that “the Syrian regime is ready to do anything for its survival”, accusing the Syrian embassy of arresting a number of Syrian workers and activists. “There are around 50 Syrians kidnapped until now”, he added, saying that he was detained and kept at the General Security Directorate. Hassan noted that he had been an illegal political refugee in Lebanon since 2008.           

In turn, the Syrian national Kadar Biri said that the conflict is fabricated by the Syrian regime, noting that Hezbollah wants civil peace and does not benefit from inciting strife and problems in Lebanon.           

In this context, the wife of one of the Lebanese hostages in Syria Mona Termos denied attacking any Syrian opposition member before the kidnapping of the 11 Lebanese pilgrims by the Free Syrian Army.        

“The Mokdad clan does not listen to Hezbollah, nor to the Amal Movement”, Termos told LBCI.
