The Association of Banks in Lebanon held an extraordinary meeting to follow up on the latest developments, and issued a statement whereby the council stated that the banks will remain keen on ensuring the salaries of the Public Sector employees, mainly the salaries of the Lebanese army and security forces, despite the difficult conditions witnessed by the country and the continuous road blocking.
In the same context, the association said that the banks will remain closed on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, amid the nationwide protests taking place across the country.
It added that the banks will continue to provide services through ATM machines across the regions and will respond to any inquiries through the relevant Call Centers.
