Rafik Hariri University Hospital contract workers call for their rights
Contract workers at Rafik Hariri University Hospital stopped working for three hours on Monday in protest of “the administration’s procrastination in the implementation of the decision to grant contract workers all of their rights”. Protesters raised banners reading “Save the RHUH hospital”.

The head of the hospital’s committee called for saving the hospital “by force”, stressing that they will no longer keep silent. He urged President Michel Sleiman to save the "hospital of the poor".

The hospital’s contract workers stressed that their salaries have not been raised since February, adding that their demands including the demand to be granted permanent tenure and to be granted Social Security, are “righteous”.
