May Chidiac Foundation holds conference

Freedom of expression and social media: two expressions that marked the era, limited the place and shortened the time. These two expressions bloomed a spring in the Middle East, and were the title of the conference held today by May Chidiac Foundation.                

A number of politicians, journalists and internet experts from Lebanon and other countries attended the conference, some of them as speakers and others as participants in seminars.

In this context, Dr. May Chidiac declared that raising the level of professionalism does not only depend on the work of the journalist, but also on the work of digital social media networks which became the most important factor in the future of the economic sectors and political systems.                    

Consequently, the conference is considered as a new space for the exchange of experiences, for debates where problems will be exposed in order to try to find solutions, a space which May Chidiac Foundation seeks to make an annual stop, "so that Lebanon, by its media, would remain a lighthouse for the region."
