Beirut celebrates Christmas

Celebrations filled the towns and villages across Lebanon on the occasion of the Christmas holiday, where prayers were held and bells rang in all churches and monasteries.

In this context, the Metropolitan bishop of the Greek Orthodox Church for the Archdiocese of Beirut Elias Audi held a mass at the Saint George Orthodox Cathedral Downtown Beirut.

On the other hand, Maronite Archbishop of Beirut, Bishop Boulos Matar held the holy mass at the Saint George Maronite Cathedral in Beirut, with the participation of social and political figures.

However, the archbishop of the Melkite Greek Catholic Archeparchy of Beirut and Byblos Cyril Salim Bustros held the mass at the Parish of St. John Chrysostom in al-Mathaf region.

The atmosphere was the same across Lebanon, as the Christians celebrated the birth of their Savior, Jesus Christ, hoping that this holiday will bring peace to Lebanon.
