Palestinians displaced from Syria hold sit-in outside ESCWA in Sidon

Upon the call of the Hamas Movement in Sidon, hundreds of Palestinians who were displaced from Syria held a sit-in outside Sidon’s ESCWA office in protest of their deteriorating living conditions and the failure of authorities to provide them with basic life supplies.

In this regard, the Hamas Movement’s media official Khaled Zeaiter stressed the necessity to provide these displaced with homes, voicing surprise at the UNRWA’s neglect and indifference.

In turn, the Hamas Movement official in south Lebanon Abou Ahmad Fadl handed a memorandum to the director of UNRWA Abou Rami al-Sayyed including the demands of the Palestinians who fled the Yarmouk refugee camp in Syria.
