Shatah from Saifi: we seek to address the Christians' concerns

Former Minister Mohammad Shatah stressed on Thursday that the Future Movement seeks to reach a true solution for the Christians' concerns, through a new electoral law which preserves the Constitution and coexistence.

Following his meeting with Kataeb leader Amin Gemayel at the party's headquarters in Saifi, Shatah noted that the discussions deepened in order to find a solution for the dangers threatening the Lebanese situation, "especially that some parties are trying to take advantage of existing loopholes to undermine the independence movement called March       14."

He pointed out that among these "dodges" come the elections and the confessional concerns which are exploited by some sides for political gains.

On the other hand, Shatah denied allegations on disruption among March 14 parties because of differences in points of view regarding the electoral law, stressing that contacts has always been ongoing.
