Syrian refugees in Tripoli stage protest, call for further support

Dozens of Syrian nationals in Tripoli staged a sit-in outside the UN building acting as temporary shelters, accusing the UN Organization of neglecting its role in helping the displaced and being preoccupied by "supporting the Syrian regime".

The protesters called for backing the Syrian National Coalition and activating its international recognition.

In this context, Social Affairs Minister Wael Abou Faour held a seminar at Clemenceau, as a follow up on the case of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

Similarly, the Health Ministry launched a vaccination campaign in Zahle where they gave the children of the displaced routine vaccine doses against polio and measles.
