France condemns Iranian violations

France said on Thursday that it was very concerned over Iran's "persistent refusal" to come clean about its nuclear program, which Western States believe is aimed at manufacturing an atomic bomb.

The remarks came after talks with Iran failed in reaching a deal on improved inspections of Tehran's nuclear program, two weeks before a major meeting with world powers.

"Iran's persistent refusal to finalize its discussions with the IAEA to be fully transparent about what its nuclear program is aimed at is very worrying," said French Foreign Ministry spokesman Philippe Lalliot.
