Kataeb: Hezbollah’s intervention in Syria violates "Army, People, Resistance" equation

The political Bureau of the Kataeb Party stressed on Monday the gravity of Hezbollah’s "blatant intervention" in the Syrian events and its repercussions which have lead to several deaths and injuries, adding that this act violates the "Army, People and Resistance" equation.         

On the other hand, the party pointed out that it is following up on the case of the unmanned drone downed by Israel, hoping that Lebanon will be cleared of the accusations in this regard.           

Israel shot down a drone Thursday April 25th as it approached the country's northern coast, the military said. Suspicion immediately fell on Lebanon’s Hezbollah which denied it sent the craft.           

Commenting on the kidnapping of the two Bishops in Aleppo, the party’s political bureau said that such an incident endangers the Christian presence in the Middle East.             

The two Syrian bishops kidnapped by gunmen on Monday April 22nd are still missing, church sources in Damascus and Aleppo said last Wednesday, contradicting a report that the men had been freed.                 

Pope Francis urged the release of the two Aleppian bishops, Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo and Alexandria Boulos Yaziji, and Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo Yuhanna Ibrahim, who were abducted in Syria.
