Kahwagi: We must prevent Lebanon from being dragged into regional conflicts

The Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) Commander Jean Kahwagi stressed on Friday the need to remain vigilant and ready to face the current critical situation in the country and to deploy strong efforts in order to prevent strife and preserve national achievements.

During a meeting with leaders of LAF units and security apparatuses held at his office in Yarzeh, Kahwagi noted that the unity of the army and its resistance against challenges and dangers are the only guarantee ensuring that Lebanon will not be dragged into regional and international conflicts.

Kahwagi also called on the military units to immediately interfere and settle security disputes which threaten the lives of citizens.
