Diab: Addressing this epidemic needs a community awareness

Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab that all possible measures needed at the state level in term of Coronavirus, adding that the people’s commitment was not positive.

“Unfortunately, some people are still not convinced of how dangerous this virus is,” he stressed.

“Addressing this epidemic cannot be done through theoretical procedures and measures on the street only, but needs a community awareness that reacts and responds to these measures and procedures,” he added.

“We can close the country, and we can impose a curfew, but we cannot follow each citizen and put a policeman for every person,” said the PM.

Diab concluded by stressing that ICU beds are now almost full, adding that the country is in a very difficult state.

“We need exceptional and strict measures, and tightening in the implementation of these measures, he stressed.
