Bizri warns against BDL delay in opening credit lines for some medicines

Head of the COVID-19 Vaccine National Coordinating Committee Dr. Abdul Rahman Bizri warned on Friday against Banque Du Liban’s delay in opening credit lines necessary for chronic diseases medicines.

In a statement, Bizri noted that the medicines, especially those used to treat viral hepatitis and other similar diseases, must be taken on a daily and regular basis.

He also stressed that any delay in receiving these medicines put the lives of patients in danger and will lead to deterioration in their health condition.

“It is useful to have further coordination between the Ministry of Health and the BDL to set priorities in terms of medicines,” he added.
