BDL Governor Salameh: What is being circulated about BDL bankruptcy is incorrect

Governor of the Banque du Liban Riyad Salameh said in a statement on Monday that "what is being circulated about the Central Bank's bankruptcy is incorrect."

"Despite the losses that afflicted Lebanon's financial sector, which are being addressed in the recovery plan that the Lebanese government is currently preparing in collaboration with the International Monetary Fund, The Banque du Liban is still exercising the role entrusted to it under Article 70 of the Monetary and Credit Law, and it will continue to do so," the statement added.
