Minister Mansour meets Syrian, Russian Ambassadors

Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim Ali reiterated on Friday Syria's keenness on Lebanon's security, stressing that "Damascus will score victories that will be a guarantee for its security and the security of Lebanon and the entire region".         

Following a meeting held with Caretaker Foreign Affairs Minister Adnan Mansour, the Syrian envoy said "Arab and foreign fighters involved in the Syrian crisis are being internationally and regionally covered".          

"Syria has called, since the beginning of the crisis, for adherence to agreements signed between both countries as per the Lebanese and Syrian constitutions," Ali said. 
             
In response to a question on Hezbollah's participation in the al-Qusayr battles, Ali said "the party is doing what anyone concerned with the dignity of the resistance and the region would be doing".            

On another note, Minister Mansour met with the Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Saspkin who said that the situation at the Lebanese-Syrian borders is complicated, adding that holding contacts between Lebanese and Syrian authorities is the only means to resolve the issue at hand.
