Woman survives rape, murder attempt

A 25 year-old Syrian woman was reportedly raped near the outskirts of the Bekaa town of Nahleh after two men captured and took her to an isolated location.

The woman, whose identity will remain anonymous for security reasons was then beaten by the two men who left her for dead.

The victim however survived and was transferred to a nearby hospital to receive the needed treatment.

The Internal Security Forces launched investigations into the incident.
