Sehnaoui to LBCI: Telecom data are being delivered regularly 3 times a week

Caretaker Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui stressed on Wednesday that the campaign launched against him for handing over the telecom data is not true, noting that the data is being delivered on a regular basis three times a week to all the security apparatuses.

He declared that the full data has been delivered in the case of the assassination of the Maj. Gen. Wissam al-Hassan and the case of assassination attempt of MP Boutros Harb, adding that he implemented the decisions taken by the cabinet, noting that handing over the full data is a violation of to the privacy of the Lebanese citizens.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Sehnaoui said that his stance on the “all data delivery” is clear as he thinks that “exposing the privacy of all citizens is an unacceptable action”, revealing that the telecommunications ministry has not refused any request for telecom data, mainly the urgent requests that had received prior approval.
