eleven days and still no word on Omar
Omar Zein, 37 years old and married with children, was kidnapped on November 16 from his work place on Hadath-Chwayfet highway near the Lebanese University complex. His brother was also kidnapped on September 14 for four days and was released after paying a $90,000 ransom.

Omar’s brother, Mohammad Zein told LBCI TV station that there is neither a vendetta nor verbal confrontations between the family and the abductors. Mohammad added that the family does not even know the abductors and the problems are not sectarian.

Omar’s parents have not been able to speak with their son for the past eleven days, although the kidnappers have spoken with his parents over the phone.
