Mikati meets Rai, says “situation not easy”

PM Najib Mikati held a meeting on Tuesday with Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai at the Grand Serail to discuss recent developments, especially the ministerial crisis.

During a press conference following the meeting, Mikati confirmed that “the situation is not easy”, adding that discussions are ongoing to find a solution for the ministerial crisis.

“If Wednesday’s session is suspended for failing to reach a quorum, I will call to convene another session,” the prime minister announced.
