Gemayel: STL funding paves way for tackling controversial issues

Kataeb party leader Amin Gemayel said that the funding of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) is a positive thing, adding that it paves the way for tackling various controversial issues, “although it is not the end”.

Gemayel said that by doing so, the government reassured Lebanon in the face of the dangers menacing it, calling on the government to spare no effort to bring the accused to justice.
Gemayel said that serving justice and uncovering the truth are the best ways to achieve reconciliation amongst the Lebanese people, and thus rebuild the nation on good pillars and achieve the participation of all confessions.
