Abou Faour: A defensive strategy to include Hezbollah’s weapons

The minister of Social Affairs Wael Abu Faour said that the decision to fund the Special Tribunal for Lebanon is a courageous step on behalf of PM Najib Mikati, the government and the rest of the political leaders in power who approved and facilitated this step especially Speaker Nabih Berri.

Abou Faour added that the funding should constitute a new political era between all Lebanese and prevent the country a confrontation with the international community.

“This [STL funding] no political gain for political party, but a triumph for Lebanon, the government and the national understanding; we hope the funding will establish a solid ground for a national dialogue”, Abou Faour was quoted as saying.

“The national dialogue should discuss the national defensive strategy which should include Hezbollah’s arms”
