Azzi to LBCI: We are fed up with US advice

Kataeb party leader VP Sejaan Azzi voiced on Thursday his support for President Michel Sleiman’s rejection to meet with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Jeffrey Feltman.

Azzi told Nharkom Said TV Show that Sleiman refuses to meet with an official whose state does not respect a president when present on its territory.

Azzi recalled when Sleiman could not arrange a meeting, when he was in Washington, with U.S. President Barack Obama or the U.S. Secretary of State on the grounds that he did not fund the STL.

In his concluding remarks, Azzi said “we are fed up with new U.S. advice,” urging the U.S. to adopt positions that help Lebanon overcome its crisis.
