Abducted Palestinian businessman released in Akkar

The state-run National News Agency reported on Tuesday that a Palestinian businessman, identified as Youssef Loubani and who was kidnapped in the northern Akkar province on Monday, was released.

The agency added that Loubani was freed on Tuesday dawn in the Akkar plains, noting that he returned to his house in the Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr al-Bared.

Relatives of the released businessman said that no ransom was paid for his release.

No further information was given in this regard.
