Siniora meets with Sheikh Qabalan

Future bloc president said that any attempt to use Lebanon as a mailbox or as a tool to attack the UNIFIL is unacceptable and condemnable.

Following his meeting with Vice President of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan , Siniora said that the Lebanese people’s lives cannot be improved in light of chaos, adding that the only solution lies in the state going back to be the only authority on all Lebanese territories, with no weapons other than the legitimate ones.

Siniora stressed the importance of the Muslims unity, and of avoiding speeches that provoke Lebanese citizens, no matter their denomination.

For his part, Sheikh Qabalan urged politicians to stick to the moderate speech that unites the Lebanese people, and keeps them immune from tensions if “we want to keep Lebanon united, cooperative and sustainable”.
