Sleiman: No tolerance to “troika” in decision making

President Michel Sleiman said that the cabinet is doing a good job, adding that it could have been more productive if it wouldn’t have been for a few issue that were blown out of proportion. “I hope that the mechanisms and restrictions will be respected by all parties which will lead to quality work”, Sleiman said.

During a meeting with a delegation from the general Maronite council, Sleiman stressed that he will not tolerate the adoption of methods that negate the constitution such as the “troika” policy adopted whenever a decision has to be made.

Sleiman added that consultation amongst the concerned officials is necessary to shield the domestic situation from any political and security repercussions.
