Sources to LBCI: Siniora agreed on 8-8-8 cabinet formula

Sources told LBCI on Saturday that the Head of the Future bloc MP Fouad Siniora has agreed on the 8-8-8 cabinet formula, noting that he has set more conditions than the March 14 coalition had asked for two days ago.

The sources added that caretaker Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abou Faour may head to Saudi Arabia within the next few hours.

Head of the Future Movement Saad Hariri stressed to the Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea that Future bloc will only partake in the upcoming government with the Lebanese Forces

This as former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora met on Saturday at the Baabda Presidential Palace Lebanese with President Michel Sleiman.

Following the meeting, President Sleiman said that Lebanese rival parties must reach a common ground over the pending issues, urging them to form a government to deal with the Lebanese people's daily issues.

This as Siniora's media office said that the head of the Future "held serious and frank talks with the President", adding that he briefed him  over the policies recently adapted by the Future movement.

The media office also noted that Siniora intends to follow up similar talks with other Lebanese policy-makers, concluding by saying that today's discussions were fruitful and comprehensive.
