President Sleiman calls for ending interference in Syria's internal affairs

President Michel Sleiman hoped that the Geneva 2 conference will yield successful results in order to end the war in Syria, stressing that Lebanon is adamant on dissociating itself from the Syrian crisis' negative repercussions.

"Dissociating Lebanon from the Syrian crisis comes through immediately abstaining from any interference in all of the neighboring country's internal affairs, mainly in the raging battles," Sleiman said on Thursday.

He also called for a political settlement that would bring back stability and security to Syria, leading to the return of the refugees back home.

This as, President Sleiman held a meeting at the Presidential Palace with Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Mohammad Raad with talks featuring high on the latest developments regarding political and governmental files as well as ongoing contacts to form a new government.
