France’s Hollande calls on International Community to assist Lebanon’s new cabinet

French President Francois Hollande welcomed Saturday the “formation of an agreement cabinet in Lebanon,” calling on the International Community to offer assistance to the new government.

The French president noted in a statement that Lebanon now has a government with full prerogatives to face various challenges.

Hollande hoped that the “same spirit of responsibility will prevail when meeting the upcoming constitutional deadlines, mainly the presidential elections expected to be held in the spring.”
