Arrest warrants issued against 2 detainees linked to terrorist Naim Abbas

Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawan interrogated on Wednesday two detainees in the file of Abdallah brigades leader Naim Abbas and issued an arrest warrants against them.

Also, he issued two arrest warrants in absentia against Rahmah Taha and Youssef Chabatiyat.

This as the arrestee Jammal Daftardar was not taken to Sawan's office due to his health condition, and the session was postponed until coming Monday.

The Lebanese Armed Forces arrested last month the Palestinian national identified as Naim Abbas dubbed "the most dangerous terrorist in the country," while preliminary information revealed that Abbas had been at the receiving end of a network smuggling booby trapped cars from Omar al-Atrash.

After his arrest, Abbas confessed the presence of an explosive-laden vehicle, which was later found and dismantled by Lebanese Armed Forces units. The vehicle was a black RAV 4 SUV loaded with explosives parked in a parking lot in the Corniche al-Mazraa region.
