Two Syrian rockets hit the Bekaa regions

The state-run National News Agency reported on Friday that two rockets fired from the Syrian side landed in the Bekaa.

The agency added that the rockets hit the towns of al-Labweh and al-Nabi Othman.

One of the rockets exploded, while the other did not.

Later on Friday, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)- Damascus Prefecture claimed responsibility for the attack.

Bekaa towns, with a majority of Shiite residents, came repeatedly under rocket attacks by either rebels seeking to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime or armed men supporting them.

Al-Qaeda-linked groups usually claim responsibility for attacks against Shiite towns, arguing that they come in retaliation to Hezbollah's military intervention in Syria.
