Mikati underscores need to restore security and stability in Tripoli
Former Prime Minister Najib Mikati said Friday that those who were misjudging the disassociation policy, are now stressing the need to implement it, underscoring the importance of restoring security to the northern city of Tripoli.

Mikati noted that he had called on all the parties to take part in the cabinet, but his call was met with refusal, as he said.

“However, now they accepted what they have been rejecting in the past,” he added.

On another note, Mikati said that Tripoli can no longer bear devastating clashes and armed disputes, urging all the factions to cooperate in order to restore security and stability.
