Zasypkin: Sanctions against Syria will not end the crisis

Following his meeting with Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin, Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour praised Russia’s stance regarding the Syrian crisis.

“Given Russia’s clout in the Arab world, it can play an important and influential role to contribute in finding an exit to the Syrian crisis”, Mansour said.

Zasypkin added that Russia is certain that imposing sanctions against Syria and exercising unilateral pressures will not end violence and guarantee the implementation of reforms.
