LBCI Denies involvement in sick child money scam

The Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International (LBCI) received news of a money scam currently underway across several Lebanese region whereby nationals are receiving calls from an alleged association raising funds for an ill child on behalf of LBCI.

We would like to assert that LBCI has nothing to do with these acts. Donations will only be collected during the telethon that will be organized tomorrow (Friday) live on TV.

We regret that such a humanitarian case be used to scam people for money.

The telethon will be held on Friday April 18 to raise funds for 3-year-old Sergio Aoun, who desperately needs a bone marrow transplant. Please tune in and make a difference.
