Deputy Speaker Makari rules out possibility of consensus between Future Movement and FPM
Deputy Speaker Farid Makari ruled out on Tuesday the possibility of reaching any consensus between the Future Movement and the Free Patriotic Movement over Change and Reform Bloc leader MP Michel Aoun becoming the Lebanese president.

Makari pointed out that MP Aoun is not the candidate of the March 8 forces; however, these forces will support him if he were to present himself as a consensual candidate.

Makari stated that the only advantage of this consensus, if it were reached between the Future Movement and the FPM, is cancelling the role that MP Walid Jumblatt’s bloc plays between parliamentary blocs.
