Two officers, one soldier injured during a raid in Arsal
The state-run National News Agency reported that two Internal Security Forces officers and one soldier were injured on Friday in the border town of Arsal while they were raiding the house of a wanted man identified as Moustafa Hujeiri.

The agency added that the fugitive tossed a hand grenade at the ISF personnel and fled to an unknown destination.

A statement issued by the Internal Security Forces described the fugitive  as "dangerous."

It said that he opened fire and tossed three hands grenades at the police unit that raided his house in the northeastern Lebanese border town of Arsal at 6 a.m.

The statement added that the police officers suffered minor injuries.

Hujeiri's father was taken into custody, and several weapons were confiscated from his residence including two pump-action shotguns, a hand grenade, a large quantity of cannabis and Captagon pills.

The statement concluded by noting that Hujeiri was wanted on 12 accounts of criminal offenses, including opening fire, robbery, drug trafficking and counterfeiting.
