Employees at Rafik Hariri University Hospital proceed with their open-ended strike
The employees at the Rafik Hariri University Hospital in the region of Jnah, Bir Hassan proceeded on Wednesday with their open-ended strike to protest "the administration’s failure to pay due salaries and the concerned authorities’ negligence toward the medical facility that is now on the verge of collapse.”

During the protest, employees stated that the appointment of a new Chairman of Board of Directors does not resolve the conflict at the hospital.

The Bir Hassan based state hospital has long been the scene of protests held by employees who continuously complain of lack of amenities at the health facility.

They claim their protests come in line of "the administration’s failure to pay their salaries.”

The protesters have also urged officials to prioritize the situation of the said institution, urging them to hold all defaulters accountable.
