Israeli reconnaissance plane violates Lebanon's airspace

The Army Command- Orientation Directorate said an Israeli reconnaissance plane violated on Saturday morning the Lebanese airspace from above the Naqoura village and conducted U-shaped flights over southern regions.

The Israeli drone then left at 11:05 a.m. from above the southern Lebanese village of Rmeish.

Lebanon's foreign ministry filed on Thursday (July 17) a complaint to the United Nations Security Council over the Israeli violations to the country's sovereignty and the UNSC resolution 1701.

Lebanon, which is technically at war with Israel, has been grappling with numerous Israeli violations mainly in southern border areas.
