Lebanon's security situation obstructs parliamentary polls -Interior Minister
Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq said on Saturday that he tackled with Speaker Nabih Berri the situation in Lebanon as well as the political and security incidents regarding the displaced Syrians and the Lebanese citizens in Arsal.

"The decision on the potential extension of the Parliament's term lies in the hands of the political powers and government," Mashnouq said following talks with Berri in Ain El-Tineh.

“As interior minister, I do not believe that Lebanon's security situation allows us to hold the elections on their due time in November," he added.
